The Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events (RQF) is a qualification for individuals seeking employment in spectator safety or currently working in spectator safety. Candidates can progress to the NVQs in Spectator Safety at Levels 2 and 3 and the Level 4 NVQ in Spectator Safety Management

The Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events contains the following four units:

• How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning
• How stewards control the entry, exit and movement of spectators at events
• How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential crowd problems at spectator events
• How stewards prepare for spectator events

There are no formal entry requirements; this qualification is open to all candidates who are preparing to work, or who already work, in the event stewarding/spectator safety industry. The assessment for this qualification is through assessment workbook.

Candidates must successfully achieve all four units to achieve the Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
